Our Leadership

Pastor Joseph E. Young

Pastor Young is a devoted man of God with an unquestionable anointing upon his life. Pastor Young has been an ordained Elder for about 27 years.  He attended several religious institutions such as the Army Chaplain School in New Jersey, Adventist School of Religion and COGIC School of Divinity.  He has served in the capacity of assistant pastor for different churches such as Church of God in Christ, Grace Gospel Fellowship, New Beginning Evangelistic Church and several United Methodist Churches under the leadership of the late Pastor Donald Adams.  Pastor Young is presently the founder and pastor of Bible Temple Church located in Waldorf, MD.  He graduated from the National Association of Power Engineers where he received his District of Columbia license as a 3rd Class Steam Engineer.  He is presently the Facility Director at Specialty Hospital of Washington in Washington DC.  He is the proud husband of First Lady, Marilyn Young and proud father of daughter, Eunique Young and sons, Joseph and Emanuel Young.  Pastor Young has dedicated his life to the service of Jesus Christ and rejoices in the blessed opportunity God has given him to reach out and empower the lives of others to walk in the newness of life.  He strongly believes, according to James 1:22 that we should be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving our own selves.

First Lady Marilyn Young

Sister Marilyn Young is as humble as a dove, yet mighty in the Lord who gives her strength to serve the people of God, along side her man of God (Pastor Joseph E. Young). It gives her great delight to see the Lord moving in the lives of people whom the Lord sends to be apart of the evangelistic mission God has called them to. God has equipped her to stand still and see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13).
The secret to her peace of mind is knowing who she in Jesus and knowing that His love has taught her to love herself and her fellow brothers and sisters.  Through the true love of Christ comes the willingness to teach, tolerate, forgive and overlook differences in personality and opinion. God’s love comes with the desire to accept one another unconditionally as He has accepted us.
Even before becoming a pastor’s wife years ago, God was preparing her for this exceptional journey that she is on today.  Though the journey is not always easy, She can always see the hand of God at work in her life.  Embracing one of her favorite scriptures, Prov. 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding, in all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths” and with sincere dedication and determination, she has learned that nothing is impossible.  For this reason she says, “To God Be the Glory, Great Things He has Done!”
